Michigan History

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by mrssmits on 14-01-2009

We are learning about Michigan History in 4th grade. Right now,we are learning about lumbering. We started at Native Americans, then, Ettiene Brule, French, Pere Marquette, the English(Pilgrims), the French and Indian war, Sojourner Truth, Civil War, Whitehalls, mining, and lumbering. I find it very fascinating. That is because I love history! We are going to stop learning about Michigan history when we get to Michigan’s birthday. I think we are going to learn about American history after that.

Sincerely,
Donna S.

It is fun to see what you have been doing. Sounds like you are learning a lot and becoming a good citizen and volunteer. Love, Jan

This is really the most intersting History lesson you will ever learn. My Grandmother,Rose, just turned 100 years old in October, she was born in Grand Haven in 1908. I made her a book about life in Michigan and the World in 1908 and and I learned so much! So just know that History is something you can still enjoy learning, even at my age!!! Keep being interested because there is always something new to learn, just around the corner.
